All INK-MAN ® inkjet refill ink is to be used to refill or
recycle empty inkjet cartridges. We recommend that you
continue using the same formulated inks once you have used
up all the ink in the kit(s) We believe that this will make
a difference. Universal or General Purpose is a "one ink" and cannot
possibly match every makers cartridges as the makers use
different ink formulations for each cartridge. There is the
fundamental difference between Dye and Pigment based inks.
It is difficult if not impossible with a Universal or General Purpose ink to
get a true colour match. Initial results may look
encouraging as the new ink has not yet taken over from the
remaining ink in the "empty" cartridge, however, after a
number of prints the "picture" changes (forgive
the pun) -
so to speak. Disappointment with refills then sets in. It may
often be the case that a user "gives up" with refills at
that stage. The Major manufacturers, clearly, have a vested
interest in getting users to purchase more of their
expensive cartridges - so any way to convince a user that
refilling and simply replacing ink in an otherwise "empty"
cartridge is a bad idea - or doomed to failure - plays to
their game plan. Think about it. Cost
considerations are primary in making printer owners look for
ways to cut their running costs. Refills do offer a serious
way to cut the running costs by up to 90%. Yes it is a fact
and we can prove it. Many manufacturers sell expensive
cartridges with print heads fitted to the cartridge body -
Let us just say that that cartridge retails at £15 - £30
(These are typical
cartridge costs) An INK-MAN® black refill kit costs say
£9.99 and is equivalent to 4-8 refills so the InkMan refill
cost is between £1.25 and £2.50 this is when compared to the amount
of ink a manufacturer gives you. So in any case the refill
cost is under 10% of the cartridge cost. |
